Station House Officer,
GTB Enclave Police Station,
North East Delhi Police zone,
Delhi - 53
Subject: Regarding acid attack victim's harassment

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am an acid attack victim, Sapna.  I was attacked on 7th August 2013 by my cousin Deepak's brother-in-law Bharat. After several threats I was attacked near G.T.B Enclave (Gate No. 11). The acid burnt my face, my right hand and my back. I am undergoing treatment at G.T.B Hospital.
An F.I.R was lodged with G.T.B. Enclave police station of NORT EAST DELHI District on 07-08-2013. FIR no. Is 232. Subsequent to investigation the acid thrower Bharat was arrested.
Deepak and his brother Bhola have since, been coercing me to withdraw the F.I.R. They have come to my house on several occasions, threatening my parents. On 18th October  in my absence they barged into my house with other men assaulting  my parents, hitting them repeatedly and then threw out all our belongings out of our house. My father informed the police on the helpine number ( #100).
Upon returning home, on 19th October Deepak and Bhola asked me when I will withdraw the F.I.R, in case that I do not they plan to attack my brothers with Acid. All my belongings continue to lie outside my house.
Sir, my family and I are very scared, we are alone and helpless. We fear a more heinous attack in the future. As of now, no police action has been taken against these two.  They have threatened us yet again, this time to burn down our house.  I request you to please do the needful urgently, issue orders to arrest Deepak and Bhola, as they have been threatening to harm our family, if we do not succumb to their threats.

    About Us

SAA is a campaign against acid violence. We work as a bridge between survivors and the society, as most of the victims of this brutal crime, which is much more grave in its impact than a rape, have isolated themselves after losing their face. Due to ignorance of the government and civil society, most survivors find no hope and stay like an outcast, in solitude. SAA aims to research and track acid attack cases and compile a data to get the actual situation of survivors.

    Our Mission

We work with partners and stakeholders towards elimination of acid and other forms of burn violence and protection of survivors' rights. The process of justice to an acid attack victim remains incomplete until she gets immediate medical, legal and economic help, along with the critical social acceptance. Our vision is to free India from this crime, which reflects the flaws of our patriarchal society and abusive attitudes. We want survivors to have access to fast justice and fight back the irreparable impact of this crime.

    Support Us

Any amount you can donate to us, no matter how small, will be very gratefully received and put to good use helping acid and burns violence survivors. Your help could help pay for dressings and medical supplies for recuperating patients. A small help could help survivors with vital physical rehabilitation after an attack, including physical therapy and nursing.
